Dinner and a Movie: A Virtual Festival Experience
Hard times call for community, and nothing says community like a “shared” meal. With a streaming featured movie, “paired” takeout dishes from recommended restaurants, recipes for dishes related to the film, and expert speakers, a Dinner and a Movie event will each month offer an exciting and interesting online Festival experience from the comfort of your own home.
Much of the Flatiron’s Food Film Festival’s success is due to the participation and generous donations of Boulder and Denver restaurants and food businesses. Dinner and a Movie gives a fun, tasty and community-building way to support these restaurant friends and neighbors.
Next Up: For Grace – Friday September 18, 6:30pm
For Grace follows Chef Curtis Duffy, a James Beard Award-winning chef, as he builds his dream restaurant from a concrete box to its opening night. It also revisits Duffy’s turbulent childhood when a middle school home economics teacher made a lasting impact on a troubled teenager and how an unimaginable tragedy made Duffy seek refuge in the kitchen.
Speakers: Mark Helenowski, For Grace Co-Director and Producer, and Amanda Faison, Editor-in-Chief of DiningOut Magazine
Restaurants: Blackbelly in Boulder and Bistro Vendome in Denver.
Note: The film and recorded discussion will be available until Friday, September 25. Tickets will also be available until then.
