Colorado Student Film Contest

The Flatirons Food Film Festival (Oct. 10-13) in Boulder is proud to announce our 2019 film contest for high school and college filmmakers who are attending an accredited university or college in Colorado. College student filmmakers who graduated from high school in Colorado are also eligible.

The top three films will screen during the Festival and be included in festival publicity.
The filmmaker for the winning film will receive a $250 cash prize.

Film and Entry Requirements

Films must showcase a food-related topic or have food as a significant part of the narrative.

Films must be 10 minutes or less in spoken or subtitled English.

Can be narrative or documentary films. Live action or animated are good.

There is a $10 entry fee. Send us a scanned copy of a current and valid student ID card or a letter from an accredited school with proof of enrollment to verify your student status. Email the scanned file to, with the subject ‘Colorado Student Film Entry Verification.’
