Tim Brod of Highland Honey will speak about how to attract native pollinators to your garden or farm, and how to maintain and sustain them once they are there. Among native pollinators are the over 900 species of bees native to Colorado. Attracting native pollinators can help increase the fecundity of your crops, especially if there are plants that require pollinators other than honey bees. Cultivating native pollinators has to do with making sure that you have soil, terrain, and plants that are hospitable to them. A Q&A session will follow the talk.
