Art Inspired by The Migrant Kitchen
October 10 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Eight local visual artists agreed to create art inspired by our Festival films. Rob Lantz of R Gallery, our curator for this program, assigned four artists to one of the two The Migrant Kitchen episodes on opening night, Omotenashi and The Jewish Deli. He assigned the other four artists to Tazzeka. For information on the artists and this project, see Cinematic Art.
We will display the work of the artists inspired by The Migrant Kitchen films in a temporary exhibit before Opening Night: The Migrant Kitchen program. R Gallery will stage an exhibition of all art from October 3-20th.
The art will be available for sale with a portion of the proceeds to go to the Festival.
Come and see the art that these artists have created, then watch the films. This exhibition will take place one hour before Opening Night: The Migrant Kitchen on Thursday, Oct. 10 from 6:30-7:30pm.
