The 2017 Flatirons Food Film Festival will take place in the following venues:
- Canyon Theater at the Boulder Public Library, Main Branch (1001 Arapahoe Ave., Boulder)
- Muenzinger Auditorium (on the CU-Boulder campus)
- Nomad Playhouse (1410 Quince Ave., Boulder)
Canyon Theater at the Boulder Public Library
The Canyon Theater is located inside the Boulder Public Library at the Canyon Boulevard library entrance at Canyon and 9th Street. It seats 201 people. During library operating hours, you can also access the theater through the main library entrance at 1001 Arapahoe Avenue.
Parking is available in the parking lots in front of the main library entrance or near the Canyon Boulevard library entrance with free parking available after 7pm, Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, free unlimited parking is available. However, library construction has reduced the number of spaces. Some alternates are the City of Boulder parking garage at Walnut Street and Broadway and St. Julien Hotel underground parking garage, which have free unlimited parking on Saturdays.
We also screen films in Muenzinger Auditorium, on the University of Colorado-Boulder campus. The auditorium has 400 seats. Muenzinger Auditorium is just west of Folsom Stadium’s south end, across the plaza and through the archway. You can bus or bike to Muenzinger, or it’s a 5-10 minute walk to Muenzinger Auditorium from Lot 360 next to the Duane Physics building, which is across Folsom Stadium. Here is a street view of Muenzinger Auditorium.
Parking is available in parking lots nearby depending on the day and time. Parking fees at most lots is $4 during the weekend. The best pay for parking options are either lot 360 or 380, please use the International Film Series CU-Boulder parking map for reference. Muenzinger is the building marked IFS on the map. There is also 3 hour metered parking along University Avenue.
Boulder’s Nomad Playhouse is located at 1410 Quince Ave. in a converted Quonset hut near the Lucky’s Market shopping area at Broadway and Quince Ave. A few parking spaces in the parking lot directly to west of the theater are marked with green stripes and are available to Nomad patrons (but be aware that all other spaces in that lot and in the Lucky’s Market complex are not available for Nomad Playhouse patrons and are subject to towing). The best parking options are along Quince Avenue and on 15th Street.
